Panasonic Lumix is a line of digital cameras that range from basic pocket point and shoot to digital SLRs models.

The Lumix line contains more than 30 different models, which are divided into seven classes. The least expensive of the classes is the LS cameras, which are basic point and shoot models and are priced as low as $99. The next class is the LX series, which offer slightly more features including optical zoom. The FX series are compact mid-range models, running between $149 and $399. Moving up in quality, the LX line features between eight and ten megapixels with advanced features such as 16:9 widescreen aspect ratio. The FZ line features both high-end compact point and shoot models as well as low end digital SLR models that range from $199 to #399. The TZ series are the most advanced point and shoot models of the line, featuring the Panasonic Venus IV technology and a ten times optical zoom. At the top of the line, the L series is strictly digital SLR models, topping out at $1599.
